Beetroot Overloaded


In the old days, when human beings were living in the forest, sweetness was an indication that a particular thing was safe to eat. We knew fruits were safe because they were sweet. Apart from fruits, vegetables can also be used to prepare delicious deserts. This recipe is easy to prepare and having this with strawberry ice cream is going to leave your taste buds loose control over it. You will get overloaded with it...! 


Beetroot provide some impressive health benefits. Not to mention, they are low in calories and a great source of nutrients, including fiber, folate and vitamin C. Beets also contain nitrates and pigments that may help lower blood pressure and improve athletic performance. 

Beetroot is rich in antioxidants and lower the risk of common diabetes complications, including nerve damage and eye damage.

  1. Add ghee to a non-stick pan (half the quantity mentioned), add mashed beetroot paste

  2. Keep stirring for 3-4 mins. Just till the paste is separated from the edges. Add the almond paste, milkmaid, milk powder to it and keep stirring for 3 mins

  3. Now add sugar and elachi

  4. Stir well and add the remaining ghee. In 2 mins, mouth watering desert is ready for serving

  5. Top it with strawberry ice cream and few Choco chips
